CHANGING THE ART WORLD

The Art World
Art Owners in the world represent a wide citizenry comprised of artists, families of artists or individuals who came into possessing art, most of whom are not regarded as art collectors. The staggering quantity of individually owned art dominates by far that of all art collections and museums worldwide. The world Art Asset Class itself is reported to be in the range of $1.7 trillion, a number that is likely grossly underestimated.

The current Art Market is in a self-imposed restriction quandary
The current Art Market serving as the ‘window front’ to the Art World is controlled by a broker establishment that operates at the detriment of Art Owners. Art brokers, defined as Art merchants, individual or institutional art dealers, Art Galleries, and Auction Houses, stand between buyers and sellers and hold the power to control and restrict market access. In so doing, it can impose narratives to shape public opinion, influence value, manipulate market outcomes and charge for market access. Under a broker system, the current Art Market is restrictive and not structured or equipped to properly reflect and accommodate the massive world Art Asset class and the needs of Art Owners.

The Art World is filled with Misrepresentations
Misrepresentation in Art involves copies, replicas, forgeries, and misattributed artworks which have historically passed through the Art Market to find their way into major art collections and museums worldwide. The broker system, claiming expertise and legitimacy in Art has not only failed to curb this problem, but it has often served as its key conduit for an industry of 'Art laundering'.

A new dawn for Art Ownership
Artemesium has created breakthroughs in decentralization technology with a platform and tools for Art Owners to operate in a broker-less decentralized environment. These tools provide artworks with unprecedented functionalities allowing their Art Owners to create or join like-minded Art Owner fellowships or Chapter sub-communities worldwide, giving them a voice and collective decision making. This creates huge incentives for the public to join and grow the ranks of Art Owners and benefit from the newly acquired functionalities around Art. These incentives include easy market access and liquidity, derived revenues from sales and shared commissions between chapter members, and directly engage and align their interests with that of the public around a co-appreciation of assets of both the artworks and the internal platform Token currency.
The introduction of decentralization in the Art World is the epitome of empowerment that completely changes the relevance of Art Ownership for both Art Owners and the public. This eliminates the restrictions of the Art Market, the limitations of Art Ownership, and resolves the problem of misrepresentation in Art. The collective empowerment of Art Owners puts them at the center of a network society to become the engine of a new global Art-based Economy.
